El CERT recomienda no usar Internet Explorer

El CERT Coordination Center, en una actitud sin precedentes, recomendó a usuarios de Internet Explorer considerar mudarse a otras alternativas menos vulnerables a ataques como Mozilla, FireFox, Netscape y Opera.

Esto viene después de que un exploit en servidores Windows 2000 corriendo Microsoft Internet Information Services 5.0 (servidor web), infectara con troyanos a navegantes usando IE, por el sólo hecho de acceder a sitios (algunos de alto tráfico) comprometidos.

El troyano en cuestión se conoce como Download.Ject y ésta es la respuesta de Microsoft al incidente.
